Reading

Literacy is a large part of the first grade experience. It involves a variety of approaches. Lessons are taught through the guidance of the Journeys series. Phonics, Grammar, Spelling, Writing, and Poetry will be covered in first grade. First graders will be reading a variety of stories in this reading series as well as reading a variety of stories in their guided reading groups.
